It's been a while since I updated my blog. We have been so busy with all the upgrades and a lot of late weekend nights. On top of our core upgrade, we are also cleaning up all the closets and replacing old switches with 3750E's. We also replaced our 6509 with two 6509E sup 720 VSS.
We fired up our Nexus 7018 a month ago and started to move our layer 2 connections to the Nexus. our next step will be moving all our servers to this switch but that is not going to happen until we figure out how we going to run all the cables to the Nexus.
Eventually we want it to look like this. This picture was taken from a Cisco white paper. The reason why the cables are ran like this is to make sure that the cables are not blocking the air flow of the Nexus.
